DYESENTRY AND DIARRHEA
Diarrhea is the condition in which patient suffer with loose bowel movement and need urgent use of toilet. If body senses something uncommon stuff in digestive system, it tries to get rid of that stuff and that lead vomiting, abdominal cramp and diarrhea.
If there is blood seen in feces it is called dysentery.
Due to repeated ‘liquid bowel movement’, patient looses fluid from the body. In diarrhea, much water is strained into bowel. Food, be in motion through intestine. If this condition last for more than three times a day and for more than two days, patient need special attention to prevent dehydration.
Generally infection of intestine is believed first cause of diarrhea, but there are more reasons to happen such condition. Commonly bacteria, virus and parasite are responsible for infection. Contaminated food or water can affect the person with such condition.
If the condition of diarrhea not seen for long term, it is called acute diarrhea. The long term condition of diarrhea is called chronic diarrhea.
One report of world health organization (WHO) point out the figure of about 3.5 million deaths occurs each year due to diarrhea and of that about 80% of that is happen with children.
